Calling all artists.

The Bruce Trail Conservancy is looking for submissions for its 2024 calendar.

The calendar will be comprised of original paintings, drawings and textiles that depict nature, landscapes, heritage and people along the Bruce Trail.

All profits from calendar sales go toward the mission of the Bruce Trail Conservancy: Preserving a ribbon of wilderness, for everyone, forever.

Subject matter

Artwork must depict or be related to the Bruce Trail or Niagara Escarpment – scenery, flora, fauna, historic sites, etc. Artwork is chosen for each month to reflect the appropriate season.

Size, format and medium

Pieces must be horizontal format, and no smaller than 7.5” x 10.5” (the finished size of the calendar). Originals can be larger but must be in a horizontal format. The medium may be original paintings, drawings or textiles. For consistency and style reasons, photography is not included in the calendar.

Submitting artwork

Submissions can be mailed or delivered to the Bruce Trail Conservancy office. They may also be made by emailing a high-resolution, high-quality photo of the piece. If a digital submission is selected, arrangements will be made to ensure quality reproduction.

Artists may submit several pieces for consideration, but only one piece per artist will be chosen.

The deadline for submissions is March 17 at 4:30 p.m. A panel of judges will choose 13 pieces to be included in the calendar.

All artwork remains the property of the artist and will be returned as soon as possible. Each artist who enters will receive a complimentary copy of the 2024 calendar.
