Daniela Ernst’s hot bat led the Conestoga Condors to three wins in four games.
The Conestoga centre fielder went 6-for-11, hit three home runs and drove in eight runs to earn Ontario Colleges Athletic Association star of the week honours.
The Georgetown native hit a two-run homer and had an RBI double in a 14-3 win over Seneca Thursday. In the second game of the doubleheader, Ernst belted a two-run homer in the second inning and followed up with a three-run shot in the third in a 13-3 win.
Conestoga extended its winning streak to four games with a 10-7 extra-inning win over Mohawk Saturday. The third-year interior design student went 2-for-5, singling and scoring in a three-run eighth inning.
Ernst is batting .458 for the season, leads the OCAA in home runs (4) and is second in RBI (11), total bases (26) and slugging percentage (1.083).
The Condors, who went 5-19 last season, have already matched last season’s win total with a 5-3 start to the season.
