FRIDAY

Georgetown Cruise Night, August 5 from 5 to 9:30 p.m. in the Mold-Masters SportsPlex parking lot: Check out classic and specialty vehicles while enjoying rock and roll music and great company. There will also be tasty treats and door prizes. The weekly event, organized and operated by volunteers, raises funds for the Georgetown Hospital Foundation.

SATURDAY

Georgetown Farmers’ Market, August 6 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in downtown Georgetown: Shop every Saturday morning from a mix of vendors that offer farm produce, culturally diverse food and products, hand-crafted jewelry, soaps, candles and more. Be sure to stop by the HaltonHillsToday booth to meet our team and enter a draw for a chance to win a gift card for The Cellar restaurant.

Drop-in Family Story Time at the Halton Hills Public Library, August 6 at 10 a.m., Georgetown and Acton branches: Explore new themes each week through stories, rhymes, and songs. No registration is required. 

Tour of Freeman Station, August 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., 1285 Fairview St., Burlington: Join the Friends of Freeman Station for a trip back in time to the golden age of steam at the 1906 Grand Trunk Railway Freeman Station -  Burlington's distribution hub for fresh fruits and vegetables.

Maddie Osatchuk Memorial Charity Barbecue, August 6 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Church, 14400 Argyll Rd., Georgetown: The Osatchuk family hosts its annual barbecue fundraiser, with proceeds going to Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills.

SUNDAY

Princess Festival, August 7 at 2 p.m. at Duran Place for Kids, 83 Reynolds St., Oakville: An enchanting annual event where children can visit with a variety of princesses. Registration is required, and cost is $25 per child, plus HST. Contact Tina De Crisci at [email protected] or 905-842-2223.

Lego Days at the Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown branch, August 7 from 2 to 4 p.m.: Stop by the library and let your creativity soar. This free drop-in program is open for children and their caregivers of all ages to play and build with the library's Lego.

S’mores and Backyard Bonfire, August 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Chudleigh’s Entertainment Farm: Celebrate the weekend with s'mores at Chudleigh’s Backyard Bonfire. Drop in at any time between 4 and 7 p.m. to sit around the fire and enjoy a toasty treat. S'mores kits will be available for purchase at The Market while supplies last.
