Rotary Club of Acton’s Evening of Wine, Cheese and Beer

Nov. 25 starting at 6:30 p.m. at Acton Town Hall Centre: Get into the holiday spirit while bolstering local causes. In addition to drinks, cheese and socializing, the evening will feature the musical talents of Monty Greig.

Tickets cost $40 and include two drink tickets and unlimited cheese sampling.They can be purchased online at and in person at Acton Optical and Halton Hills Furniture.

Christmas Movie Night at Norval United Church

Nov. 25 at 6:30 p.m.: This free event open to everyone will feature a viewing of The Christmas Chronicles.  PJs, blankets and stuffed animals are welcome too. 

Magic Show supporting Darling Home for Kids

Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Italian Cultural Centre of Milton: Magician Tyler Fergus will delight those young and old while raising money for a local facility that provides care for medically fragile children.

Tickets cost $15 for children, $20 for adults and $55 for a family of four. They can be purchased by emailing or at the door.


Trinity United Church Christmas Bazaar

Nov. 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 70 Mill St. E., Acton: The event will feature gifts, wreaths, decorations, a silent auction, penny table, baking and festive cookie plates.

Hillsview Active Living Centre Acton Christmas Bazaar and Tea Room

Nov. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Acton Arena Community Hall: Come and shop from the bake table, Christmas decor, crafts, books, penny table and more. 

St. Joseph Patron of Canada Christmas Bazaar

Nov. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., 64 Church St. E., Acton: There will be homemade baking, a penny raffle, religious articles, caricatures by a local artist and more.

Drop-in Family Story Time

At the Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown and Acton branches, Nov. 26 at 10 a.m.: Explore new themes each week through stories, rhymes, and songs. No registration is required.

Life Vine Christmas Market

Nov. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Rockmosa Community Centre, Rockwood: Do some Christmas shopping from local artisans at this market that will run every Saturday for the next three weekends.

Milton Santa Claus Parade

Laughing All the Way Christmas comedy and carols

Nov. 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Bethel Christian Reform Church, Acton: The show featuring Leland Lassen and Dan Macaulay will include an evolving mix of stand-up comedy, Christmas carols, musical silliness and improv. Tickets are available here.


The Credit Valley Artisans Christmas Sale

Nov. 26 and Nov. 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cedarvale Park Cottage, corner of Main Street and Maple Avenue, Georgetown: There will be pottery, painting, stained glass, handweaving and more.
