Glen Williams is ready to show its patriotic pride.
Canada Day in the Glen returns July 1, with a full day of festivities planned.
Here’s what’s in store:
- 8 to 11 a.m.: Breakfast in the park
- 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Children’s activities
- 9:30 a.m.: Yoga with Jeannine
- 10 a.m.: Historical walking tour
- 11 a.m.: Drumming circle
- Noon: Parade
- 1 p.m.: Opening ceremonies
- 1 to 3 p.m.: Seniors tea at Glen Williams Town Hall
- 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.: Family activities and children’s obstacle course
- 2 p.m.: Pet show
- 2 p.m.: Youth art workshop
- 4 p.m.: Duck race.
There will also be food trucks, vendors and live music throughout the day. A magician will be wandering through the park to entertain everyone, along with Batman, who will be in the parade and then available to meet people afterwards from 1 to 3 p.m.

A shuttle bus will take residents from the Superstore parking lot down to the Glen starting at 8:30 a.m. The last bus back will leave Preston’s Food Mart at 5 p.m.
Roads in Glen Williams will be closed from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the parade.
Main Street from Prince to Confederation streets will be closed from 1:30 to 5 p.m.
