Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for parts of the region.

Periods of snow this weekend are expected to make travel difficult with accumulations near 10 cm possible.

The snow is expected to begin this evening and continue through Sunday afternoon before tapering off.

The snowfall is due to a low pressure system tracking south of the area.

Areas included in the advisory are:

  • Caledon
  • Halton Hills - Milton
  • Mississauga - Brampton
