It's time to shine a spotlight on those who make sports great in the local community.
The Halton Hills Sports Museum is accepting nominations for the Halton Hills Sports Hall of Fame.
Any person or team who is or has been distinguished as an athlete, coach or builder and brought honour to Halton Hills at the time of their achievement is eligible for nomination.
Athlete/team candidates must be retired from their sport for three years at the time of nomination, while coach/builder candidates can be active or inactive in their field.
Nominations will be accepted until Feb. 24.
Inductees will be honoured at a ceremony on June 8 at the Gordon Alcott Hall, Mold-Masters SportsPlex in Georgetown.
