Beloved wife of Owen Jones (d. 2013). Loving mother of Glyn (Susan Allison-Jones), Sylvia Cutmore (Jonathan), Trevor, Donna, and Diana (d. 2010, Lawrence Isaac). Jean was born and raised in Toronto and earned a BA in Geography and an MA in Social Work from Univ of Toronto, and a Master of Divinity from Emmanuel College, Toronto. Jean was the minister at Lakeview United Church in Mississauga, Hillcrest United Church and Bethel United Church in Georgetown. Jean and Owen travelled to many places in the world and explored North America in their camper. They spent many happy weeks each year at their beloved cottage, Dayspring, in Haliburton. After Owen’s death, Jean continued travelling and hiking with family and friends. Last summer, at the age of 91 she hiked to Wilcox Ridge, her favourite mountain pass in the Rocky Mountains. Jean had a deep faith that gave her strength, gratitude, kindness, and optimism that she shared with many other people.

Visitation from 12:30 pm to 1:30, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Hillcrest United Church, 8958 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown.
