A truck driving school faces charges after a transport was stopped while travelling at just 5 km/h in Halton Hills.
The truck was moving slowly along Steeles Avenue due to a diesel exhaust fluid issue, Halton Regional Police said Tuesday on Twitter.
A subsequent inspection by the Halton Regional Police commercial vehicle unit revealed a brake out of adjustment, a rock between dual tires, damaged airlines, excess wheel free play, and a loose steering shaft.
Police noted a pre-trip inspection of the truck "identified no issues."
Police said the driver of the truck was also charged, however the student was not.
The vehicle was taken out of service and towed for repairs, police said.
