Two charged with impaired driving in unrelated weekend incidents

Two Halton Hills drivers face impaired-related charges following weekend complaints made to Halton Regional Police.

On June 17, 28-year-old Johnathon Harris was charged with operation while impaired after officers responded to the Guelph Street and Sinclair Avenue area of Georgetown.

On June 18, officers responded to the area of Longfield Road and Mowbray Place in Acton. Michael Jones, 45 years old, was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

Halton Regional Police remind motorists that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is considered to be a crime in progress. Residents are encouraged to call 911 to report suspected impaired driving incidents.
