All you need is your Library card to access these great resources all year long!

Homework Help

We have solutions to help with just about everything you’re looking for. Ask us for assistance and we’ll point you in the right direction for reference materials, books, databases, languages, magazines, journals, interactive resources and more. We even provide spaces for Exam Cram and have study guides to help you with your Drivers’ Test. We’ve got you covered from top to bottom. Visit our Homework Help website page to learn more.

 Online Educational Resources

We provide a wide range of online services and resources to help students and parents. These resources and databases are great for students and personal research. Access them in the Library when you visit or from the convenience of home. With your Halton Hills Public Library Card, knowledge is at your fingertips. Go forth and explore! Visit our Educational Resources website page to see what we have for you.

 Book Clubs

Join one of our book clubs and have your child attend in-person once a month. Kids connect and read with others their age to discuss a book with one of our staff members. It’s a great way to keep kids reading and learning together throughout the semester while keeping their reading skills sharp. Visit our Book Club website page to learn more and register for one of our book clubs.

 Storytimes

Families are invited to attend weekly Library Storytimes and literacy programs. We engage kids through stories, songs, puppets, rhymes, in research-based programs that integrate early literacy concepts to build knowledge and social skills in a fun and engaging environment. Visit our online calendar for dates and times of our registered and drop-in programs.

 S.T.E.A.M. Programs

Register for these exciting, creative, and educational programs. Our STEAM programs (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) help guide kids and youth to learn, experiment and explore exciting themes that build understanding of the world around us. It’s also a great way to engage and learn with others their age. Visit our online calendar to register for these types of programs.

 LinkedIn Learning

This online learning resource is invaluable for your child or teen. With over 16,000 courses your child can learn anything from playing the piano, singing, graphic design, painting, drawing, coding, programming, STEAM programs and much more. Visit our Educational Resources website page to learn more.

Spaces The Library provides a comfortable space to unwind, socialize and complete homework. The change of environment can fuel creativity and expose your children to new and exciting reading options and resources to complete their assignments and explore their interests. Our spaces are cozy and comfortable to curl up with a great read, picture book or graphic novel. Plus, we have computers, WiFi, laptops, headphones, charging stations, printers, and more to help make your child’s visit purposeful and complete. We even have gaming stations, board games and puzzles available if you need a brain break!

Your local library is a great place to let your child explore, browse, and discover among our various shelves and creativity tables. Plus, we are a big advocate for life-long learning and literacy. It’s our job to find the right book for the right child at the right time. We know that practice makes perfect, so we are here to meet all of your literacy needs to keep you and your child reading all year long.
