Celebrate Black History Month this February with a series of free programs presented by Cultural Services and the Halton Hills Public Library.
This year, highlights of Black History Month programming include:
- “One Book, One Halton Hills,” Halton Hills Public Library invites the community to stay tuned for the 2023 book title to be revealed January 27, in support of Black authors and athletes
- “Women and Growth,” artwork by Sheryl Keen, presented by the Helson Gallery in the Sisnett Lobby of the Cultural Centre (January 30 - February 26)
- “Clef Notes to Canvas,” painting workshop in partnership with the Canadian Caribbean Association of Halton at the Cultural Centre (February 11, 1 - 4 p.m.)
- Artist Q&A with Sheryl Keen and special guest Francesca Durham, presented by the Helson Gallery (February 25)
- #ReadingBlackout campaign with the Halton Hills Public Library.
