Halton Regional Police have charged a Georgetown woman with impaired driving following a traffic stop early Sunday morning.

A Georgetown woman has been charged with impaired after an early-morning traffic stop over the weekend.

Halton Police received a call from a citizen about a potential impaired driver early Sunday (May 12). Shortly after 1 a.m., the vehicle was located in the area of Guelph Street and Mountainview Road. 

Halton Police conducted a traffic stop. As a result of an investigation, a 41-year-old woman from Georgetown was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80 mg or more within two hours.

Halton Regional Police no longer name individuals facing impaired charges.
