GolfNorth Properties, which has 36 courses in Ontario, will lease Hornby Glen Golf Course.

GolfNorth Properties is entering into an agreement to lease Hornby Glen Golf Course.

The company, based in the Kitchener-Waterloo area, owns or leases 36 courses in Ontario, including Acton Golf Club and Calerin Golf Club in Erin. The agreement will take effect April 1.

“Since 1964, Hornby Glen has been offering the best possible value to the golfing public, which is exactly what GolfNorth strives to do,” said GolfNorth president and CEO Shawn Evans. “We are committed to maintaining Hornby Glen’s status as a beloved destination for golf enthusiasts.”

The 18-hole course was closed for renovations last year.

GolfNorth offers both multi-course and course specific memberships. Mike Garside, chief operating officer for GolfNorth, said Hornby Glen "will be a 100 per cent public facility, only allowing our corporate members and daily fee to have full access. Our reciprocal level members within the company will receive discounted green fees."
