FRIDAY

Georgetown Cruise Night

July 7 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Mold-Masters SportsPlex, Georgetown: Enjoy perusing over 100 classic and special interest cars every Friday night. Those looking to display their car can simply show up. A 50/50 draw will be held every week to support the Halton Hills Optimist Club.

Free Community Dinner

July 7 at 6 p.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church, Georgetown: The Rotary Club of Georgetown invites the community to a free meal, which will include Scottish meat pies, mashed potatoes, garden salad, tea/coffee and desserts. All are welcome.

SATURDAY

Acton Trunk Sale

July 8 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Acton GO station parking lot: The Rotary Club of Acton is back for the season with its popular trunk sale. Shop for a variety of products or become a vendor for $15 cash - no reservations required. Simply show up any time after 7 a.m.

Georgetown Farmers’ Market

July 8 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in downtown Georgetown: Shop every Saturday morning from a mix of vendors that offer farm produce, culturally diverse food and products, hand-crafted jewelry, soaps, candles and more.

Fay and Fluffy Storytime

July 8 at 10 a.m. at the John Elliott Theatre, Georgetown: Join the Halton Hills Public Library team for stories, songs and lots of laughs as drag queens Fay and Fluffy take the stage. The show is intended to celebrate diversity and literacy in a supportive and inclusive environment. All ages are welcome. Free tickets are available at the theatre.

SUNDAY

Cruising for Care

July 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Georgetown Market Place: Bennett Village is gearing up to host its annual summer classic car show fundraiser. In addition to plenty of cars, there will also be retro music by MJF Collector Car Appraisals, tasty treats, summer giveaways, a silent auction and 50/50 draw. Admission is free, but donations are welcomed.

Funds raised will support Bennett Centre long-term care residents’ programs and equipment.

Rib and Beer Fest

July 7 to 9 at Trafalgar Sports Park, Georgetown: Get ready for some tasty eats at this year’s Rib and Beer Fest. Local musical acts like Wicked Truth, Otis Wonder and The Hustle and others will provide entertainment throughout the weekend. Fun for the whole family will be on tap with rides and games, along with beer for the grown-ups.
