IN PHOTOS: A walk on Georgetown's newly-completed Hungry Hollow Trail

The wonders of nature abound on the trail that winds its way from downtown Georgetown to Hall Road

Spring has sprung and so has the final section of the Hungry Hollow Trail in Georgetown.

The final phase of the trail between Cedarvale Park and Main Street South was completed earlier this year. This allows visitors to walk south along Main Street, where they can connect with the trail head just across the street from Living Hope Church.

Must like the rest of the trail, it features a diverse ecosystem with a variety of animals and plants.

The seven-kilometre trail network allows residents to walk from downtown Georgetown to Hall Road.

The phased project took $2.8 million and over 12 years to complete.
