The North Halton Community Singers perform their Holly Jolly Christmas concert.

The North Halton Community Singers are singing the praises of the local community for turning out in full force at their recent concert.

The choir - formerly known as the Georgetown Choral Society - performed a Holly Jolly Christmas show Friday evening in front of a packed crowd at Holy Cross Parish in Georgetown.

The group reports this was the largest audience they’ve seen in 15 years, and they received plenty of positive feedback about their festive performance.

The show’s artistic director was Eleanor Wallace, with accompanist Mark Peterson.

The choir starts rehearsing again on Jan. 8 for a spring concert, which is set for May 4 with the theme ‘What a Wonderful World.’
