Arlo is looking for a new home.

HaltonHillsToday, in partnership with the Upper Credit Humane Society, is launching a new feature highlighting a special pet in need of adoption.

Arlo was found alone in a rural area of Erin near the end of August. It’s believed he was around three to four months old at the time.

A good Samaritan picked him up and immediately took him to a veterinarian, who had to remove a large bot fly larva from his neck. You can still see the dent in his neck, but he’s all healed up now. While at the good Samaritan’s home, the woman discovered she’s very allergic to cats and had to surrender him to us so he may find his forever home.

Now in foster, Arlo's personality can truly shine. As soon as he feels your hands around him he flops and sinks right into you like a rag doll. He lives off affection and cuddles.

He can be vocal, he likes to talk, but once he is in your arms, all he does is just purr. He enjoys playing and chasing things around the room. Arlo would be OK with another cat or a cat-friendly dog, with slow and proper introductions. He can play a little rough, but when corrected he starts to lick you. In his down time, he just enjoys cuddles and your company.
