The University of Charleston is proud to announce that Ella Zucchero, a senior at Acton District School, has been selected to receive the University of Charleston’s Presidential Scholarship – worth nearly $184,000 and covering full tuition, fees, housing, and meals for four years.

“We are proud to offer Ella the opportunity to pursue her dreams,” stated UC President Marty Roth. “We congratulate her on her achievements so far and know that she will accomplish great things. We are looking forward to welcoming her to the Golden Eagle family.”

Zucchero will enter UC as an Exercise Science major, and will begin classes this fall.

“The Presidential Scholarship truly recognizes high achievers,” explained Dr. Elizabeth Wolfe, executive vice president of enrollment management for UC. “They have to have outstanding grades, score well on standardized tests, participate in our Scholarship Day events, and interview with UC President Roth. The winners of this scholarship should be very proud – it is quite an achievement.”

The University of Charleston is a private university located in Charleston, West Virginia, USA. It has a student body of about 2,500 through its main campus, a location in Beckley, West Virginia, and UC online.
