Plans are in the works to replace the aging playground at Georgetown's Cedarvale Park with a more inclusive one.

The Town is currently conducting a survey on the matter, which is available on the Let’s Talk Halton Hills website until March 20.

“At this point we are really trying to gather as much input as possible. This will allow us to design the ultimate play experience that meets the community’s needs,” Landscape Architect Jude Gaboury explained.

According to the Town's website, the municipality is aiming to create "a unique and engaging destination where users of all ages and abilities can access and enjoy the benefits of outdoor play."

The Town will conduct a second survey in the spring to gather feedback on the park's design. The input will be used to finalize the design during the summer months, with construction projected to begin in the fall.

The playground is located at the northeast corner of the 40-acre park at the corner of Maple Avenue and Main Street.
