Georgetown's Ben Abram is on fire to start the college baseball season, but this time around, it's for a new school.

Fresh off a pitching appearance at the College World Series last season with the University of Oklahoma Sooners, Abram took his talents next door to Oklahoma State University, where he’s had an impressive start to the season.

Since Feb. 26, the 6' 8 right-hander has led the Cowboys to four straight wins with a 2.81 Earned Run Average (ERA) and 22 strikeouts.

Abram had his best stuff on the mound last Saturday versus Texas Tech. The Cowboys took down the 12th-ranked team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) with a final score of 9-4. Abram led the way with six innings of fantastic work, shutting down Texas Tech with ease.

After struggling in the 2022 season with the Sooners, it appears the change in scenery at Oklahoma State has given Abram what he needed to regain his confidence at the collegiate level.

Even though it’s early in the 2023 season, the Georgetown native is eyeing another shot at the College World Series.
