Douglas Ross Casselman passed peacefully on September 1, 2023 in Georgetown Hospital at the age of 80 years after a brief illness. He was the youngest of 3 children, born in Toronto, Ontario to Alvin and Leona (Waldie) Casselman, and grew up in Chatsworth, Ontario.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children Nicole (Mark) of Saskatoon, and Richard of Kitchener; his grandchildren Julia, Hannah, Ciara, Hope, and Faith; siblings Lyle (Marjorie), and Donna. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews Rhonda (Chris), Tracey (Chris), Dana, Lynne (Neal), Todd (Paulyne), and their children.
He is predeceased by his wife Linda (née Barr) who passed in 1993, his parents; his parents-in-law Jean (née Hilliker) and John (Jack) Morgan; and his brother-in-law Wayne Graham.
Doug moved to Georgetown in 1983 and was a member of the Lions Club for several years. He worked as an engineer in the Chrysler Brampton Assembly Plant from 1986 to his retirement in the early 2000s. In recent years he had a group of friends who would regularly meet for coffee.
