It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Frederick Robert Dobbin. He was a cherished husband, spouse, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, colleague, and friend who left us on March 25, 2024, after a brief illness.

Fred, aged 84, was born on January 18, 1940, in York Township, Ontario, to his parents Clement and Christina. Despite his humble beginnings, Fred rose to live a life of dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to his pursuits.

On May 24, 1969, Fred married Joanna, and together, they settled in Georgetown, Ontario, and welcomed their son, Michael, in April 1974. Fred's devotion to his family was unwavering, and he took great pride in providing them with love, support, and guidance throughout the years.

Fred enjoyed a successful career as a property management executive, dedicating the bulk of his working years to Park Property Management Inc., where he was esteemed by colleagues for his work ethic, integrity, friendship, and leadership.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Fred found solace and joy in the tranquil beauty of Fairholme Lake in Whitestone, Ontario. Summers were a time of memories spent at his beloved cottage, where he relished in the simple pleasures of swimming, lounging on the dock, and basking in the serenity of nature. These moments became the backdrop for many gatherings and treasured memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who joined him.

Fred's memory will be treasured by his son, Michael, and daughter-in-law Bianca, as well as his young grandchildren, Bennett and Abigail, who always brought a sparkle to his eye.

Fred shared a mutual love with his dear spouse, Alma, who brought much joy and vivacity to his retirement years. They enjoyed many winters in Florida with friends, adventurous cruises, and many wonderful times together in and around Georgetown and Parry Sound.

Fred is predeceased by his parents, Clement and Christina, his sisters Mary and Lorraine, and his wife Joanna. Although he has left this earthly realm, Fred's spirit will forever live on in the hearts and memories of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

Visitation will be held at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 10- 11 a.m. A celebration of Fred's life to honour his memory and legacy will follow in the chapel.

Fred’s family would like to thank the staff at the Georgetown Hospital for their wonderful care during his final days.

In place of flowers, donations can be made to the Georgetown Hospital Foundation or a local charity of choice.
