Audrey 'Glenn' Laidlaw passed away peacefully in her 93rd year surrounded by family and friends by her side. Glenn and twin sister June were born Saturday June 20th 1931 they were inseparable throughout their lives. June passed away May 2013 Glenn- Tuesday December 12th 2023.

Glenn and Garnet met at Junior Farmers dances and eventually became married to her devoted husband Garnet Norman Laidlaw for 50 years. During that time they raised 4 children.. Doug, BJ (Jack Woods), Dave and Allen. From these were born 6 grandchildren.. Kelly and Abby Woods and her husband Kyle McKinnon, Dylan Laidlaw, Dean Laidlaw, Jesse and Jack Laidlaw. Glenn and her twin sister June were born June 20, 1931 to parents Elmer Lloyd Havelock Waite and Edna Estelle (Wagner) Waite. The twins older sister Doris Waite was married to Gordon Sharpe. They were born on their farm in what is now north west Mississauga.

The family was very musically inclined.. Doris taught music for years to many a school in the Peel County region. Glenn and June began singing duets at a very young age.. singing in many competitions, churches and other gatherings throughout their lives. June would accompany on the piano or organ. Glenn sang in the Norval United Church choir for 70 years and would perform in countless seniors venues throughout Peel.

She and Garnet worked hard and raised us well and made sure we got to our hockey, baseball games, figure skating etc. She touched many a hearts with her warmth and Great sense of humour and truly loved her family.

We shall miss her..

Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., Georgetown on Friday December 15th, from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Service held in the chapel at 11:00 am. Reception to follow in the Trafalgar Room. Interment to follow.
