April 16, 1932 - December 14, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Louise Gertrude Lang, a cherished sister, aunt, and friend, who peacefully left this world at the age of 91. Born on April 16, 1932, in the picturesque town of Kingstown, Saint Vincent & Grenadines, Louise's journey through life was marked by resilience, kindness, and an unwavering spirit.

Louise is survived by her loving sisters Angela, Yvonne and Patricia (Edvin), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her memory will be forever cherished by many great-nieces, great-nephews, as well as great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Lang, and her sisters Barbara, Joan, Carmen, Monica, and her brother, Peter.

After a fulfilling life dedicated to family, faith, and service, Louise passed away on December 14, 2023, in Georgetown, Ontario, where she had been a cherished resident at Mountainview Residence.

During her 40-year career at Mutual Life of Canada, Louise exemplified dedication and professionalism, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touched. Her commitment extended beyond the workplace, as she channeled her creativity through cross-stitch and dedicated herself to restoring statues at                  St. Mary's Cathedral in Saint Vincent.

Louise's zest for life was evident in her diverse interests - from her love of travel to her skilful Scrabble, Gin Rummy, and domino games. She was also an avid gardener, cultivating beauty and tranquility in the world around her. Louise leaves behind a legacy of warmth and laughter, enriching the lives of all fortunate enough to know her.

A lover of ballroom dancing, Louise's passion for dance extended beyond her hobbies. It was on the dance floor at Arthur Murray dance school that she met her husband, Peter, sparking a love that lasted a lifetime.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Louise's life at a funeral service on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 11 :00 am at St. Patrick's Parish, 921 Flagship Dr., Mississauga.  We will gather to remember and honour a remarkable woman who will be deeply missed for her kind and generous spirit.

The family welcomes your choice of flowers or a donation to Sharelife Canada, a charity that holds a special place in Louise's heart. The memory of Louise Gertrude Lang will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in her love and joy.
