Citizen complaint leads to impaired charges in rural Halton Hills

A driver is facing multiple impaired-related charges following a long weekend incident in Halton Hills.

On August 7, Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Trafalgar Road and 10 Sideroad in Halton Hills.

As a result of an investigation, 39-year-old Tormeca Salmon of North York was charged with operation while impaired, blood alcohol concentration 80 mg or more within two hours and failure or refusal to comply with demand.

Local residents are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
