Halton Hills shooting leaves three injured, nine arrested

Those wounded in incident near Norval listed in serious, but stable condition; SUV with bullet holes investigated outside Georgetown Hospital

Halton Regional Police have made multiple arrests following a shooting last night just outside Georgetown.

On May 22 around 10:30 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired at a residence on Winston Churchill Boulevard, north of Guelph Street.

“When police arrived, officers located a single male victim with gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital,” police said in a press release.

“A short time later, police received another call for two males who had also been shot and were present at the Georgetown Hospital and receiving treatment. Police have confirmed all three males were injured in the same shooting incident. All three are in serious but stable condition.”

Police were investigating an SUV outside the local hospital with visible bullet holes.

Shortly after the shooting, police say officers located a suspect vehicle and conducted a stop. At that time, four males were arrested and a firearm was seized by police.

According to police, an additional five males have since been arrested in relation to this shooting.

Further updates surrounding arrests and charges will be coming at a later time.

The investigation is ongoing.
