Long weekend complaints lead to two impaired charges in Halton Hills

Two drivers have been charged with impaired in Halton Hills following citizen complaints this weekend.

On May 19, Halton Police responded to a complaint in the area of Main Street South and Cobblehill Road in Acton and charged Daniel Morales Gaona, 24, of Innisfil with operation while impaired.

On May 21, Halton Police responded to another complaint in the area of Argyll Road and Mountainview Road South in Georgetown. As a result, Jonathon Myers, 37, of Halton Hills was charged with operation while impaired and a blood alcohol concentration 80 mg or more, within two hours.

Halton Police remind local residents that driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol is a crime in progress. Anyone who suspects an impaired driver must call 9-1-1 immediately.
