Man steals over $5K of electronics from backroom at Georgetown South Shoppers

Police say the incident occurred during the day when the store was open

Halton Regional Police are investigating a brazen theft at a Georgetown pharmacy.

On Dec. 7 around 12:45 p.m., police say a man entered the Shoppers Drug Mart at Mountainview Road South and Argyll Road through the front door and proceeded to the vacant employee area at the back of the store.

“The suspect stole a quantity of electronics by placing them in a bag and exited through a rear door of the store,” said media relations officer Const. Ryan Anderson.

The estimated value of the electronics exceeds $5,000.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately six feet tall with a large build. He was wearing dark clothing and a black medical mask and carrying a black bag.

No arrests have been made yet.
