Police investigating two robberies at pharmacies in Halton Hills

Incidents in Acton and Georgetown on Dec. 22 not believed to be connected, police say

Halton Regional Police are investigating two robberies at pharmacies on Dec. 22 in Halton Hills.

The first robbery took place at around 4:30 p.m. at a Pharmasave on Main Street North in Acton, police said in a news release.

Three male suspects wearing surgical masks entered the pharmacy and demanded narcotics, according to police.

A weapon was not seen or referenced, police said. 

Following the robbery, the suspects fled the scene in a black Honda sedan.

Police described the suspects as:

Suspect #1- Male, thin build, approx. 5’8” tall, wearing a black hoodie sweater with a blue surgical mask.

Suspect #2 – Male, thin build, approx. 5'4" tall, wearing a black hoodie sweater with a blue surgical mask and carrying a backpack.

Suspect #3 – No description available.

Anyone who may have dash cam footage of the area of the pharmacy between 4 and 5 p.m. is asked to contact police.

The second robbery also took place Dec. 22, at around 6:50 pm, at Young’s Pharmacy on Main Street South in Georgetown.

Three male suspects, one of whom was armed with a handgun, entered and demanded narcotics and cash.

After the robbery, the suspects fled the scene in a stolen white Honda CRV.

The vehicle was then involved in a single vehicle collision on Maple Avenue, police said.

The suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot in the area of Armstrong Boulevard.

Police recovered the vehicle, a replica handgun, a quantity of cash, and narcotics believed to be linked to the robbery, however, the suspects remain outstanding.

Police described the suspects as:

Suspect 1: Male, brown skin, thin build, 5'8" tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Suspect 2: Male, brown skin, thin build, 5'8" tall, wearing all black clothing with a mask.

Suspect 3: No description available.

Police said they do not believe the robberies are connected.

Again, police are asking anyone who may have dashcam footage of the robbery suspects and or vehicle to contact investigators.
