Suspect flees after breaking down door of Acton home

Police say the man took off in a sedan driven by a second suspect after seeing the homeowner

Halton Regional Police are investigating after the door of an Acton home was smashed in Monday morning.

Halton Police say around 9:15 a.m. March 25, a resident on Somerville Road heard multiple knocks at the door, but didn’t respond right away.

As the resident was walking toward the door, police say it swung open after the suspect used his shoulder to break through the lock. The suspect saw the resident, turned and fled from the home.

According to police, nothing was stolen and the resident sustained no physical injuries. 

The suspect is described as male, approximately 5-foot-10, 20 to 30 years old with dark hair, a slim build and tan skin. He was seen wearing dark-coloured clothing.

Police say the man fled in a sedan driven by a second suspect.
