VIDEO: Police searching for men accused of multiple car thefts

Peel Police allege one of the men is known to arrange test drives for high-end vehicles listed for sale online and then drive them "in an aggressive manner towards victims"

Peel Regional Police are looking for one suspect as they try to identify a second believed to be involved in multiple car thefts.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 39-year-old Calvin Peacock of no fixed address, who is wanted for the following offences:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime (two counts)
  • Theft of motor vehicle
  • Dangerous operation of motor vehicle

They allege Peacock is known to arrange test drives for high-end vehicles that are listed for sale online.

Security footage from May 15 in the Mayfield area of Caledon captured an incident (see above) that police say involves Peacock, which is being investigated by the Ontario Provincial Police.

“Peacock has driven stolen vehicles in an aggressive manner towards victims, showing no concern for public safety,” police said in a news release. “Peacock operates in the Region of Peel and in other jurisdictions throughout the province.”

Anyone who spots him is asked to call police immediately.

Investigators are also trying to identify a second man believed to be involved in some of the vehicle thefts.

He’s described as “non-white, medium complexion, approx. 5’8”, thin build, with short black hair, full beard and glasses.”

Anyone with information is asked to call at (905) 453–2121, ext.2133.  Anonymous tips can be submitted through Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or by visiting peelcrimestoppers.ca.
