The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad is turning to the public for help locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant due to a breach of their long-term supervision order.
Derek Powell is described as a white male, 54 years old, 5'8", 260 lbs, with brown hair and green eyes.
Powell is serving a seven-year, six-month and 15-day long-term supervision order for:
- Assault with a weapon
- Threaten death and bodily harm - two counts
- Forcible confinement - two counts
- Assault peace officer - two counts
- Mischief
- Fail to comply with probation order - four counts.
Police say Powell is known to frequent the Greater Toronto Area, Peterborough, Simcoe Region, York Region and Durham Region.
