Four new superintendents and a new associate director for HDSB

The school board's new senior staff will begin on August 1

The Halton District School Board has hired four new superintendents and appointed a new associate director to the board.

These five appointments will fill vacancies created by the promotion of superintendent Tina Salmini, and the announced retirements of associate director David Boag and superintendents Terri Blackwell, Gord Truffen and Rob Eatough.

Tina Salmini has been appointed to the role of associate director and will oversee operations of schools and system-wide initiatives.

Nick Frankovich, Jennie Petko, Jonathan Shoss and Jennifer Fowler were appointed as superintendents after completing the hiring process in May.

"They bring deep teaching, administrative and leadership experience," said Curtis Ennis, HDSB director of education. "We offer our congratulations and look forward to officially welcoming them when they begin their new roles."

The recently-hired senior administrative staff will assume their new positions on August 1.
