Halton Hills Public Library (HHPL) invites residents to celebrate Pride Month with its programs, collections and resources.

Positive Space Network (PSN), in partnership with HHPL, is hosting a drop-in session at the Acton branch on June 21 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The program provides a safe space for 2SLGBTQ+ youth between 12 and 24, where they can engage and connect with each other.

PSN holds workshops and guest speakers and offers games and food, along with gender-affirming outfits to trans and non-binary youth.  Contact the PSN for more information.

Back by popular demand, Drag Queen Storytime hosted by Fay and Fluffy returns to the library on July 9 at 10 a.m.

The program uses traditional elements of professional performance for children to promote inclusion and diversity.

Meanwhile, HHPL offers a variety of poetry, books, movies, eBooks, and audiobooks written by 2SLGBTQ+ authors and creators. Visit the HHPL’s online catalogue to see the collection.

The library also has Pride displays at its Acton or Georgetown branches featuring information, books, and resources for the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

Visit this website for more information or the library during hours of operation.
