Starting this spring, Halton Region will be giving Trafalgar Road between Hwy. 7 and 32 Sideroad a makeover.
The work leading into Ballinafad will include road repairs and resurfacing, guiderail improvements, new pavement markings, minor ditch regrading and culvert cleaning and improved signage. The work is expected to continue until the fall.
Halton's road resurfacing program annually evaluates the Region’s roads to maintain and repair them and extend their lifespan.
The Region says efforts will be made to minimize the impact of the construction, but the road improvements may cause traffic delays, lane shifts or lane restrictions.
Direct access to some driveways may be limited for short periods of time, but residents will be given advance notice of any access restrictions. The work is not expected to impact mail delivery, waste collection or emergency vehicle access.
Night and weekend work may also be required as part of the project.
