A Brampton man has been charged with impaired driving after his vehicle left the road and struck a tree.

A Brampton man has been charged with impaired after his vehicle struck a tree in rural Halton Hills over the weekend.

At about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Halton police officers were dispatched following a single-vehicle crash in the area of 20 Sideroad and Tenth Line.

Police say the vehicle left the road and hit a tree, with the driver sustaining non-life threatening injuries.

Halton Police arrested the 25-year-old driver at the scene and charged him with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration.

Halton Regional Police no longer name individuals facing impaired charges.
