It is with great sadness that the family of Florence Anita Bugden announce her passing on Thursday January 18, 2024 at Georgetown Hospital. Florence was the beloved wife for 65 years of Chester "Jiggs" Bugden who passed away on December 28, 2023, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, proud great-grandmother, dear sister and caring aunt. She gracefully reached her 87th year. Born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Florence embodied the East Coast spirit of love, kindness and laughter. Her passing has created a void in the lives of all who knew and loved her. Her dedication to family will be truly missed.

Florence's memory will live on in the hearts of those she nurtured and guided throughout her life. She leaves behind son Gary, grandchildren Matthew and Brianna; daughter Darlene (Rick Woodham), grandson Ryan (Carol), and their children Emma, Amy and Tyler, grandson Jason (Carolyn) and their children Jake and Maxwell, grandson Brandon (Andrea) and their children Lillian and Addison, granddaughter Meghan (Daniel) and their children Lucas and Logan; son Scott, grandchildren Joshua and Zachary; and son Darren (Darlene),grandchildren Brittany and Nicholas.

Florence was the loved daughter of the late Bill and Sadie MacIntosh. She is predeceased by her siblings, the late Mary (Karl) Alderson, the late Frankie (Murray) Cantwell, the late Billie MacIntosh, the late Yvonne (Don) Cantwell, the late Jackie MacIntosh, the late Anna McInnis and the late Ernie MacIntosh. She is survived by siblings Helen (the late Mel) Boutilier, Marguerite (Rollie) Leyte, Normie (Dianne) MacIntosh, sister in law Joan MacIntosh and brother in law Donald McInnis. Florence will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends.

A memorial mass to celebrate both Florence and Chester Bugden will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown on Saturday February 17, 2024 at 10:30 am. A luncheon will be held in Cote Hall following the funeral mass. In memory contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation are greatly appreciated.
