The family of Laura-Lynn Burney is saddened to announce her sudden passing on Thursday January 18th in Georgetown, Ontario
Beloved wife of Robert & adored Mother of Colin. Survived by her loving mother & father Susan & Burnette Laws of Stratford, Ontario.
She will be sadly missed by brother & sister in law Greg & Jovi Burney and their daughter Ashley - of Brampton, Ontario.
Her dearest of friends were Leslie AuCoin of Baltimore, Maryland, Barbara Yourk of Georgetown, Ontario and Janice Boucher of Palm Springs, California.
Laura-Lynn was a graduate of T.L. Kennedy Secondary School in Mississauga, Ontario and went onto study & receive her BA from the University of Windsor and her MEd from the University of Toronto. She was also a student of Counselling Psychology at OISE, University of Toronto.
She was a devoted Teacher for the Peel District Schoolboard for over 25 years. Her passion & dedication to teaching & enriching the minds of her students was endless.
Often recognized by student Parents & fellow Teachers and co-workers for her dedication, inspiration & support.
Laura-Lynn loved to travel the world, going on cruises and spending time with family & friends poolside and celebrating special celebrations & holidays.
The family wishes to thank all those who provided aid and supported the family during this tragic loss.
Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11 a.m. Followed by a luncheon and time for fellowship. Cremation to follow.
