It is with profound sadness that the family of Patricia Chapman announces her peaceful passing on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the age of 87 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 35 years Orval. Dear mother to Kathy Digirolamo, son-in-law Steve Jacobs, Lisa Burmaster (Gary) and her stepdaughter Cathy Rokols. Proud grandmother to David Frogett, Jeremy Frogett, Kate Jacobs, Jackie Jacobs, Stephen Burmaster, Christopher Burmaster, Tracey Murray, Melissa Thompson and Leanne Rokols.
Patricia is survived by her brothers James Connors, Michael Connors (Janet), Jerry Connors (Rita) and sisters Mary Fotheringham, Shirley Doherty and Kathleen Walsh. Brothers-in-law Ron English and Cliff Chapman (Celia) and sisters-in-law Jean Connors and Ola Forsythe. She will be sadly missed by her numerous great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Patricia was predeceased by her loving daughter Laurie Jacobs, her brother Joseph Connors, her sister Barbara Spencer, sister-in-law Joan Connors, brothers-in-law Milton Fotheringham, Jim Doherty, John Walsh, Ross Chapman, Bob Chapman, Cliff Forsythe and parents Joseph and Bridget Connors.
Pat was born in Toronto and moved to Halton Hills in 1973, where she eventually met and married Orval. She was well known in town, having worked for many years at Canadian Tire and Fire and Ice Jewellers. She was an active member of the Hillsview Senior Centre, taking part in numerous fundraising fashion and baking events.
Memorial visitation will be held at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill St. E., Acton on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 1-2 p.m. A service celebrating Patricia’s life will follow at 2 p.m. Interment Fairview Cemetery.
