The family of Shirley Dunlop of Acton are very sad to announce her passing on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the age of 89. Treasured wife of the late Ron Dunlop (2016), dearly beloved mother of Mary Querques (John) and Michael (Pauline), much loved grandmother of Marianne Querques (Matt Baxter), Joseph (Fan), Nicolas, Anthony, Christopher (Andrea) and Sarah (Chris) and very special great- grandma to Stephen and Anthony Baxter. Predeceased by children John Greensides (2015) and Maureen Dunlop (1990) and grandchildren Jacqueline, Nicole and Daryl.
Shirley loved keeping her hands busy doing puzzles, word searches, and baking cookies for grandchildren. She had a passion for knitting, crocheting, and needlework. Her cross stitch pictures are works of art. She loved listening to music and singing songs by Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond and Elvis. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill St. E., Acton on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service to follow at 8:00 p.m.
In memory of Shirley, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
