It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arlene Humphreys on Tuesday, November 28th, 2023 in Toronto. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Norman (2020). She will be truly missed by her daughters Amanda and Sara, her sons-in-law Javier and Simon, her grandchildren Gabriela and Diego and extended family in the UK.
Arlene was born in the UK and spent her youth in both England and the United States. Soon after marrying her sweetheart Norman, they moved to Canada. Arlene loved to make the world a better place and was a long-time volunteer as part of Girl Guides, as well as the Acton Foodshare and Heritage Acton. She was a lover of books and learning, travel adventures, and creativity, as well as random facts about history and the world. She was devoted to her family and community and will be truly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate it if donations can be made to one of the following: Parkinson Canada, Acton Foodshare, Heritage Acton, or St. Alban's Anglican Church.
As per Arlene's request, a private cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Alban's Anglican Church in Acton on Wednesday, December 6th at 2pm.
