It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jake Kuiken.
He went to be with his Lord and Saviour on June 23, 2023 in his 89th year.
He was born in Tzummarum, Friesland (the Netherlands) on February 22, 1935 to Reinder Kuiken and Anna Kuiken. (nee Posthumus).
Jake will be missed by his partner of 32 years Lucia Haefner and his children Ron Kuiken (Liz Burns), Janet Harris, Dannie Kuiken, and Barb Vos (Steve). Loving grandfather of Daine Kuiken-Rogers. (Heather) Wade Kuiken-Rogers (Brenna), Matthew Vos, Elaine Stevens (Mike), Bryan Vos (Tiffany), Derek Vos (Zoe), Jacob Vos (Amber), Jennifer Harris and John Harris. Great-grandfather of Carter and Huxley Kuiken-Rogers, and Frankie and Georgie and Theo Vos, and Aubrey and Isla Stevens. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends.
Cremation will take place.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29th from
10 a.m. -1 p.m. with refreshments being served from 12 – 1 p.m. at the Acton Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 365 Queen Street E., Acton.
A Celebration of Life service will follow immediately at 1 p.m.
