August 25, 1931  -  November 20, 2023

At 92 years old, Ana passed away unexpectedly and peacefully with her 2 sons by her side.

Anna was predeceased by her loving husband of over 60 years, Fritz Luck (April 1927 - April 2014).

Survived by her 2 sons, Robert (Debbie) and Harry (Debbie), and 2 grandsons (Trevor and Daniel); sister in Germany, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews in Canada and Germany, and many close family friends that were her dear extended family.

Anna was born in Germany and immigrated to Canada with her husband, young son (Harry), and close family friends in 1956. Settling in the Toronto area with their close family friends, Fritz worked and they saved for their first home. They moved into their first home in Bramalea (Brampton) in the early 1960's and raised their 2 sons there. Anna worked at Carter's Carburetor in Bramalea for several years, before retiring and enjoying life as a busy housewife and mother.

In 1993, after over 30 years in Bramalea, and Fritz retired, they moved to their beautiful cottage that Fritz (a carpenter by trade) had built in the early 1970's on Balsam Lake in Coboconk. Fritz winterized it, and they spent many happy years fishing, gardening, growing their own vegetables, playing cards and Bocce Ball, and visiting casinos. They enjoyed the company of their children, grandchildren and neighbourhood friends’ visits; entertained family from Germany and their close family friends here in Canada, in their warm and loving home on Balsam Lake (Kawartha Lakes). Anna also enjoyed volunteering at the small thrift shop by the lake in Coboconk, called 'The Jail' for many years.

In December 2022 Anna sold her lakefront home and moved to Mountainview Residence in Georgetown (Halton Hills) to be closer to her family.

Anna thrived at Mountainview Residence, and made many friends. Anna loved it there, and enthusiastically joined all the activities in her new residence. Anna recently told her family that 'had she known how wonderful it was there, she would have moved there a long time ago!'

Anna will be dearly missed by all her family, friends, close family friends and their families, in Canada and Germany.

Special thanks to the nursing staff and caregivers at Mountainview Residence for their love, support and friendship. Mountainview's friendly, attentive staff, family atmosphere and fun-filled daily activities made each day a joy for Anna.
