April 18, 1928 – Feb 27, 2024

It was a dark and stormy night when Margaret, in her 96th year, peacefully began her final journey home.  She was the beloved wife of Harold Robson (2020) for 73 years and loved mother of Bob (Wendy) and Paul (Cyndy).  Her cherished grandchildren, David (Louise), Steven (Chenai), Nathalie and Pauline as well her great grandchildren Graydon, Eoin, Jaxon and Xavier Robson will keep happy memories in their hearts.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joshua and Ethel Thompson and siblings Ray, Emily Plouffe, Bill, Charles, Frank, Leonard, Angus and Doris Cox. She is survived by her brother Fred (Linda) and sister Edith Thompson.

Most of her life was happily spent in the home she and Harold built in Hornby before their move to Georgetown.  They enjoyed their family and many friends. Dancing, camping and cards, especially bridge, were favorite activities.

The family would like to thank everyone at Amica for their friendship, care and devotion these last 3.5 years.

Friends and family will be welcomed at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd. Georgetown, on Monday March 4th from 6-8pm.  A service to celebrate Margaret’s life will follow, at Jones’, on Tuesday, March 5th at 11 am with Rev. Paul Ivany officiating.  1 hour of visitation will take place before the service and a reception will follow. Cremation is planned with a spring internment at Churchill Cemetery, Acton.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, a donation may be made to Norval United Church, 14015 Danby Rd. Georgetown, ON. L7G 0L8, or a charity of your choice.
