24 JULY, 1984 – 13 OCTOBER, 2023

Dr. Adam Robert Rossi age 39 of Toronto Canada. Passed away on October 13, 2023 in Secaucus, New Jersey. It is with deep sadness that the family of Dr. Adam Robert Rossi, Beloved Son, Brother, Nephew, Uncle, and Friend passed away with his family surrounding him on October 13, 2023. Adam was a beautiful person who spread joy and happiness wherever he went. Though he left this world far too soon, he left this world a better place.

Adam was passionate about helping others and not only achieved his dream of becoming a pediatrician but he also earned several degrees in medicine, surgery, hematology, oncology and Palliative and Hospice at Virginia Commonwealth University until 2022. He spent his last year at the world-renowned Pediatric cancer hospital MSK Sloan in Manhattan. Even though he was there for a short time. The impression he left on both staff & patients will never be forgotten. His memory and legacy will live on forever through VCU.

They are in the process of creating an award to be giving to a trainee in pediatrics. It will be named the Adam R. Rossi Award and will be given in loving memorial Of Dr. Adam Rossi to any level of pediatric trainee. Dr. Rossi provided exceptionally compassionate care, demonstrated inexhaustible optimism, and provided overflowing encouragement to his fellow trainees during his time as a resident and during both of his fellowships at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond. The recipient of this award will exemplify these characteristics embodied by Dr. Rossi.

Adam was a kid at heart with an infectious smile and incredible sense of humor. He was so loving, and determined as well as stubborn, which he came by honestly having the Rossi last name. These qualities together made him achieve every goal he set for himself. No matter the adversity and health issues he faced pretty much all his life, he pushed through, and kept persevering. Adam had an unbelievable amount of strength and never complained about what he had to face. He just did it. No matter what.

He was selfless, understanding and kind. He was a confidant, a best friend, a caring doctor, a great chef, an incredible brother and son, truly the best guy you could ever know.

All that Adam accomplished in his short number of years, is absolutely incredible and inspiring.

Just to name a few Ontario Scholar Award, Doctor of medicine, Medicine and Surgery Diploma, Hematology and Oncology Diploma, Hospice and Palliative medicine diploma, President, Pediatrics, Master if Education Diploma and even a few Pageant wins for Mr. Congeniality and Mr. M1. All of this on top of the grueling years of Med school, working as an intern, then a resident and fellow and finally an attending. He somehow found time to work with several programs as well as anonymously donating to many hospital programs for children.

Everyone here is a better person for knowing Adam, and although we cry for ourselves and this tragic loss, we know that he would want us to celebrate him and all the things that made him the Angel on Earth that he was. (Although he himself would never use those words he was so very humble) He would tell us to remember all the good times and memories we each have with him and smile. He would say to take his love with us and to take the lessons we learned from him and cherish every moment we have. To take the time need to grieve but then go get up and keep moving forward. He would tell us all……. you got this.

There are some who bring a light so bright to this world that even after they are gone, the light remains.
