Somerville, William George "Bill' -Peacefully, on Wednesday February 21, 2024 at Amica, Georgetown. Bill, in his 90th year, husband of the late Shirley Somerville (nee Robinson, 2015). Loving father of Chris (Karen), Ric (Rachel), Kim (Bob), and Tim (Margaret). Loved grandpa of Shannon, Melissa, Rachelle, Nicole, Thomas, Robert, Ricky, Tia, Barret, Abby and Elly. Great grandpa of Heidi, Curtis, Mason, Leah, Lily, Robinson, Everett and Archie. Bill was predeceased by his sisters Margaret (the late Harry Klassen), Joan (the late Bob Burn), Helen (the late Ron Ross) and by his brother Fyfe (Jean Frank). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905) 877-3631 on Tuesday February 27, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held at the Limehouse Presbyterian Church on Wednesday February 28, 2024 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. Walker-Friendship Masonic Lodge # 321 will hold a memorial service in the chapel on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions to the Limehouse Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
