It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jantje Vryenhoek in her 90th year.
Beloved wife and best friend of Kors for over 70 years. She leaves behind her daughter Tineke Vryenhoek Douglas (Les) and son Arie (Marsha). Loved Oma to Michael Vryenhoek, Yvonne Douglas and the late Allen Vryenhoek and her great-grandchildren.
Jantje was born on October 20, 1933 in Schiedam, Holland to Jan and Treintje Van Dyk. She met Kors at age 15 and married four years later on February 25, 1953. Their daughter Tineke was born April 10, 1955 and son Arie April 27, 1957. The family of 4 immigrated to Canada, more precise a little town called Acton on December 2, 1965, were she lived a joyful life with her loving husband and family.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the nurses and caregivers for their continuous, loving care of Jane.
Friends and family will be received at MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill St. E., Acton, on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
A Celebration of Jantje’s life will be held at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 365 Queen St. E., Acton on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 1 PM.
