We sadly announce the passing of Michele Marie Wenz. Michele passed away peacefully on February 13th 2024, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Norman Wenz for 35 years, and the proud daughter of Isabel McQuaid (née Gallant) of Cape Breton, and the late Damien McQuaid of Prince Edward Island.
Michele will be forever loved and remembered by her siblings Debbie McQuaid, Gail McQuaid-Bohemier and her husband Denis Bohemier, her brother Damien McQuaid (Brenda), her late sister Kathleen McQuaid, her mother in law Lisa (the late Oswald Wenz), sister in law Sigrid Joseph (Daniel), and brother in law Derek Wenz (Adele) . Michele will be greatly missed by her several nieces and nephews.
Michele became an avid runner, and enjoyed training and making friendships in her local Acton Running Group. She grew with her running community and conquered marathon race goals. She loved the outdoors and smiled often while fishing, hiking, and biking with her family and friends. She also was known to always have compassion for animals, especially dogs. She loved adventure, and the memories made travelling to Negril, Greece, and Hawaii will be forever cherished by her husband Norman.
Michele always put family first, was known for her radiant smile and positive energy. Her friends and family will always remember her smile and hold it in their hearts.
Visitation will be held at MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill St. E., Acton, on
Friday, February 16, 2024 from 6 – 9 p.m. and
Saturday February 17, 2024 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel, on
Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 12 noon. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations to Breast Cancer Canada would be appreciated by the family.
