Citizen complaint in Halton Hills leads to impaired charges

A complaint to police in the rural area has resulted in impaired charges for one driver.

On July 28, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of 5 Sideroad and Third Line.

As a result of an investigation, 37-year-old Jeremy Girard of Hamilton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80 mg or more, within two hours.

Local residents are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
